FAT BUDDHA
FAT BUDDHA –
WHO AM I?

My journey should not start with “once upon a time”. Rather, it should start with 12 months ago, a Fat Buddha decided to change his . Fat Buddha, yes, that is what everyone called me before I lost five stones. is not a term; it is a rocky road full of obstacles.

There are days when, with each kg of weight you lose, you gain confidence and motivation to do more. On the contrary, there are more days when you lose yourself in the process of having a healthy self.
So, let's get started!

The longest journey always starts with a simple step. The step we think we could never take. The day you enter your gym is the day you'll change as a person. is the biggest blessing and the body of your dreams can only be achieved through persistent hard work. But we are humans, who self-judge and can make our day set by the mood we are in. Especially the scale rollercoaster dictating to me how to feel that day. It was a constant battle in my head day in and day out.

I was constantly preparing myself and fighting my procrastination. I used to go to bed dreaming of what I could look like but self-attacking myself, saying if only I didn't eat that sandwich or that ice cream. Gosh! It was a constant cycle. I need to starve myself. I am nowhere near that place again, and I have learned that self-attacking and being someone else are not whom we are supposed to be.

One day, I gathered all the courage and motivation it took to enter the gym. I was a newbie there and, like any newbie, I was looking here and there, and I wasn't sure where I should start. in the gym was something extremely new and awkward for me. It was tiring. It was difficult for me to run that day.
I was motivated, but I wanted to have the maximum outcome by putting in the least effort at that time. When I look back, I am convinced that consistent hard work pays off! I got paid off in the form of those 5 stones that I lost in them months but made me a better version of who I am today. The Fat Buddha who could hardly run in the gym is now a mountain climber, running marathons, and completing boot camps. It is not only the workout plan that helped me achieve my goals.

Diet does play a very significant role in weight loss. Your dietary input should be less than your physical output if you want to shed extra pounds. I put myself on the to lose weight. So, the keto diet is not easy, carbohydrate cravings alone can make you feel miserable. I felt miserable and helpless, but I was motivated because my subconscious knew that the result was gonna be worth it. My body took 48 to 72 hours to start generating ketone bodies – this is what we call the process of .
Those days were hard for me to pass. I kept myself busy at the gym. Yes! A Fat Buddha was keeping himself busy in a place (gym) where he never thought of going in.

Carbohydrates were everywhere, in my favourite sandwich, in the desserts I like, and even in the drinks I used to have. I cut off every source of carbs and strictly follow my keto-diet plans along with workout plans.

There were days when I wanted to quit this diet and get back to my daily dose of carbs, but I reminded myself of all the hard days I had already spent. I reminded myself of all the tiny I took. By the time I was losing weight, I started liking this whole tough routine and also the tiring gym sessions. I was amazed at how quickly my body adapted to those new healthy activities.

From having a sedentary lifestyle to being able to climb mountains, run marathons I enjoyed every bit of it. I never knew that I'd be able to write about my weight-loss journey. I never knew that I'd be able to lose a good amount of weight. Little did we know what is going to happen, but all we could do is to have faith in ourselves.

  1. You really make it seem really easy along with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be really one thing that I believe I might by no means understand. It kind of feels too complex and very large for me. I am having a look forward to your next publish, I will attempt to get the grasp of it! Donovan Vandervoort
